This will start in January of 2010. We will be using "The Bible in 90 Days Program". Ted Cooper, Jr., is the author and creator of the Bible in 90 Days reading program. 

The idea to have all the churches read the Bible together was first proposed at the May 2009 Upper Perk Ministerium meeting and was well received at the time. The idea is to encourage all the area churches to read the Bible together, at the same time, starting in January 2010. Any translation of the Bible can be used. People are encouraged to use the program created "Bible In 90 Days" Thin-line NIV Bible, which can be ordered for those interested.

The "Bible In 90 Days program includes a weekly DVD presentation summarizing the readings from the previous week. The program is designed to be most effective when done through a small group meeting in homes or a mid-week service. The small group motivates people to read the Bible together as a group. And the small group encourages the people to keep up with the readings. It includes a participants guide, a leaders guide, a "Bible In 90 Days" Bible and a "Essential Bible Companion". This reading program takes 90 days and would be completed by the end of March.

The Hope Valley Community Church in Red Hill did this program from January to March 2009 and it was a real blessing. They offered the weekly DVD presentations at 3 different times: a mid-week evening service, a Sunday School class and a Thursday night small group that met at the church.

The Upper Perk Prayer Evangelism Network churches are excited that the area churches and the community will be doing "The Bible In 90 Days" program together starting January 2010. What an exciting way to start the new year!
